Roseroot (Rhodiola rosea)

Rose root is the ginseng of the North.  The leaves of the plant are a really good, fresh, vitamin C-rich salad dressing. It is said that the Sámi avoided scurvy in the spring by collecting rosehip leaves for food.  The root of the plant is one of the most potent of the northern herbal remedies, fighting inflammation and giving vitality.  Also used as an erection remedy.    We are setting up an experimental and demonstration garden in Ilomants, which will be rich in roseroot.  We are doing product development on combining hemp and rose root in extracts and tinctures.

We also buy rhizomes and seeds.
